While the basketball has been an official Olympic sport since 1936, everything changed in 1989—FIBA changed the rules to allow NBA players to participate in the Olympics. What happened next was one of the greatest basketball rosters every created, the 1992 Team USA "Dream Team". This star-studded lineup included Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, Clyde Drexler, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Patrick Ewing. While Team USA has gone on to win shelves full of Olympic gold medals, not much compares the the 1992 Dream Team spectacle.
