Los Angeles Kings

Founded in 1967 as part of the NHL's expansion, the Los Angeles Kings are a professional ice hockey team based in Los Angeles, California. They have since become one of the most successful franchises in the league's history.
The Kings to date have won two Stanley Cup championships, the first in 2012 (against the New Jersey Devils) and the second in 2014 (against the New York Rangers), and have reached the playoffs numerous times throughout their history. They play their home games at the Staples Center, which can seat over 18,000 fans, and have a passionate fan base that has helped make the arena one of the loudest in the league.
Throughout the team's history, the Kings have had many notable players, including Wayne Gretzky, Marcel Dionne, Luc Robitaille, and Drew Doughty. Gretzky, who is widely considered one of the greatest hockey players of all time, led the Kings to their first Stanley Cup Finals appearance in 1993.
